Chicken Curry
INGREDIENTS

2 large onion - paste

2 table spoon ginger garlic paste

750 gm chicken breast - cut into cubes

3 large tomatoes - paste
-
1/2 cup plain yogurt
-
2-3 tablespoons vegetable/olive oil
-
2-3 whole cloves
-
2 whole cardamoms
-
small piece of cinnamon stick
-
spices - turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, meat masala(available in all indian shops),pepper
-
salt to taste
-
1/2 cup of chopped coriander (Optional)
Prep Time : 20 mins
Cook Time : 30 mins
Serves - 4

DIRECTIONS
​
1. Heat oil in a pan , add bay leaves, cloves , cardamom, cinnamon stick and saute till oil becomes aromatic.
​
2. Add onion paste and fry on high heat till onions become light brown.
​
3. Add tomato paste and ginger garlic paste and fry for 3-4 minutes.
​
4. Add spices and salt at this point and mix well till all the water has evaporated for tomatoes and oil has started separating from the paste.
​
5.Add the chicken cubes and mix well with the paste . Cover with lid for 5-6 minutes.
​
6. Add the yogurt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
​
7. Add water ( about 3 cups) , cover with lid and let cook for 20 minutes on medium heat.
​
8. Check to ensure chicken is tender and gravy has thickened, take the pot off the heat. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving.
​
9. Garnish with coriander leaves
